I loved painting this scene, it felt so romantic and beautiful to capture the figure in a blooming flower garden! I loved playing with all the different greens and shadows.

I was inspired by the local creek close to our home, a beloved creek that has been a special place for our kids as they have grown up. I was fascinated by the light peeking through the trees and casting beautiful reflections!

I took this photo of a rustic old barn in a field near our home. I drive by it daily and always took it for granted! One day I decided to capture it in paint; that even the mundane everyday things can be beautiful.

I wanted to create calmness with all the blues, but also add energy with the pops of red and orange! I wanted it to feel like I was there, hearing the seagulls and feeling the salty cool mist from the ocean blow on my face.

I painted this from a photo I took in the summer of the pond around our apartment! I was so captivated by the lights and shadows, reflections, and vibrant greens. I’ve walked around this pond many times with my two sweet boys. It’s such a beautiful spot!

I really wanted to capture all the beautiful sparkling jewel tones in the waves and shore. I wanted to capture the feeling of cool ocean mist blowing on your face in the wind while facing the warm sunlight.

I painted this after recently visiting a beautiful local winery. I wanted to capture the feeling of enjoying a sunny vineyard with delicious cheeses, grapes, and of course wine!

I was inspired by the thought of taking a stroll along the coast on a green cliffside,  feeling the breeze blow through my hair and smelling the salty air.

I really enjoyed painting this still life. I really wanted to capture glowing warm sunlight peering through a window. I can picture myself sitting there, feeling a light breeze and hearing the birds sing!

While painting this, I was dreaming of summer on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, on a porch under a lemon tree, drinking a limoncello and watching the sparkling waves. SOLD

I painted this because I love watching palm trees sway in the wind! I am originally from California, so I miss the ocean very much and hope to capture my first love in paint!
