I wanted to create calmness with all the blues, but also add energy with the pops of red and orange! I wanted it to feel like I was there, hearing the seagulls and feeling the salty cool mist from the ocean blow on my face.

I painted this from a photo I took in the summer of the pond around our apartment! I was so captivated by the lights and shadows, reflections, and vibrant greens. I’ve walked around this pond many times with my two sweet boys. It’s such a beautiful spot!
